Since our opening, the Institute has provided a rich variety of seminars, conferences, workshops, lectures and retreats exploring or presenting such topics as spiritual transformation, race unity, health and healing, the performing arts, social and economic development, education and moral leadership. The Institute has also been the venue for youth and community retreats, Counsellor and Auxiliary Board member gatherings, Unit Conventions, Children's Conferences, as well as weddings and wedding receptions, family reunions, fundraising dinners and Bahá'í Holy Day celebrations. Programs initiated with groups like the Bahá'í Justice Society promise an even greater range of stimulating sessions for professionals. A number of annual events such as the Bahá'í Conference on Health and Healing, Treasure Chest Children's Conference, Musician's Gathering, Arts and Crafts Fair and the Desert Rose Baha'i School sessions at Thanksgiving and Memorial Day weekends, have continued to draw friends from around the country, affording them the opportunity to learn and grow in this unique spiritual oasis. Under the guidance of the Western Regional Training Institute, the area coordinator for Cluster AZ18 has begun setting up Ruhi tutor training sessions on the Desert Rose campus, as well as encouraging the holding of Ruhi study circles throughout the area. |
